A quick update (mostly Portman updates)

I was going to update earlier but I’ve been hit by a wave of depression at this moment. I think it’s combo of so many things going wrong at once. I don’t have a whole lot to talk about right now. Still, there are some things.

First, Flavors of Love; Sweet Love was finally approved for production for audiobook. I know it took a while but we’re there! Still waiting on Four of the Usual Suspects though. But links on that coming soon. I’ve also secured an editor for book 2, Distant Love. That, I want to release by November of this year.

Secondly, Paper Hearts is with formatters now and hopefully will be ready for you by the 13th. I do advise reading Hearts Under Ice before touching the second book.

In the meantime, I am trying to get my Portman Creamery mysteries in order. My PC books do not follow any set timeline so you can start with whichever book you want. If you want mostly female characters and mysteries, this is your series. Plus ice cream! Everyone loves ice cream…well, most people love it.

This series also has its own playlist that I made on Spotify. If I can figure out how to post that, I’ll do it one day.

The current and next couple of Portman Creamery books (excluding BPC or any future arcs):

Wrapped in Death and Chocolate (Stacey’s mystery):

Four of the Usual Suspects (Pippa’s mystery):

The Dangers of Art (Becca’s mystery):

Coming Nov 2015

The Sugar Mountain Murders (Mary Beth’s mystery):

Coming Mar/Apr 2016

Arsenic With a Cherry On Top (Winky’s mystery)

Fall/Winter 2016

Then it will start back with Stacey again (or possibly someone else depending on my mood). Irene and Chrissie, being the leaders, usually won’t get their own cases (except on a rare occasion). We’ll see though. I’m thinking Mary Beth’s mystery might be my first book that I release in 2016.

I’m going to try to shake my depression and set up my stuff for SASS soon. I’m so behind.

A new decision

I’ve been actually thinking about this for a while and I’ve decided that I’ll go ahead with it. I have another PC book that is already edited and I can get it formatted no problem. All I really need is a book cover and I’ve been wondering why I’m holding off on releasing it this year. So I’ve decided that I will go ahead and get it done. The next book is one you’ve heard me talk about but I’ve held off on publishing it.

So this is my current schedule:

The Reaper’s Apprentices #2: The Contracts (coming Sept 14th)

Black Paradise Circus #2: A Pile of Bones (coming Sept 28th)

Patterns & Parallels #2: Paper Hearts (coming October 11th)

Flavors of Love #2: Distant Love (coming late October/early November)

Portman Creamery book/Becca’s first mystery (coming Nov/Dec)

Updates on current works:

Flavors of Love #2: 51K (it’s a little messy so I’m trying to tighten it up)

Ghosts of Burning Inn #2: 24K

The Reaper’s Apprentices #3: 21K

Cirque Macabre #2: 16K

Portman Creamery/ Mary Beth’s first mystery: 16K

Patterns & Parallels #3: 11K

Once either Ghosts or TRA gets to a decent place, I’ll probably start another sequel. I just don’t know for which series yet. September and October are very busy months for me for many reasons. I’ll be amazed if I get time to breathe.

I’m still hoping I can reach my goal at Smashwords. I’m just 9 sales away from it! Eek, it’s so close!

Don’t forget about the pre-order link being live for The Reaper’s Apprentices #2!

I’ve also ordered more swag with the new cover designs on them. I can’t wait for cover reveals either!

I’ll try to spread my news evenly if I can.

Cover reveal and updates

The Reaper’s Apprentices #2 is now in the editor’s  hands. Later this week, I will have the cover for the first book updated and I’ll reveal the second book’s cover next week.

It’s also cover reveal day for the new Black Paradise Circus book! There are three in total and this is number 2! The thanks go to pro_ebook covers!

To check out the first books of these, they are over here.

The Reaper’s Apprentices #1

Black Paradise Circus #1

I finally got the epub of Wrapped in Death and Chocolate done! Not only that, it’s up on Smashwords now! It took long enough but it’s there now. Hopefully, it’ll come up everywhere else as well.

I’m also planning the next couple of signings so be on the lookout for those!

Will be back later,

Just a slight update on things

It’s about time I actually made a real update on things. I know I’ve spent a lot of this last week promoting Sweet Love and I apologize if it is clogging up your pages. I swear I will dial it down this week. I actually had no idea this would be ready and finished so soon. As you guess, my plans for when these books come out has flipped around.

Here’s how the new list for 2015 looks:

Sweet Love – June 9th

PC BlacK Paradise Circus #1 – sometime this month. I’m not sure exactly when but it’s almost ready. I don’t know if I want to set it for pre-order or release it straight out the gate either.

TRA #2 – sometime either late August or early September

P&P #2 – ditto. I know I said this would be out in the summer but it probably won’t be

* This book won’t be out for Greenville’s signing but the next PC book, Wrecked Art Poisonous Words, will probably come out in December if I’m lucky. It’s edited, it just needs everything else. If not December, then January for sure.

This is what’s most likely coming in 2016:

PC Black Paradise Circus #2

TRA #3

OG #2

Cirque Macabre #2

Flavors of Love: Love on Board

Now none of it is set in stone. A lot can happen and change in a year. We see that already with the line up of books for this year. Everything flipped around and it can happen again.
As you can see, most of these are sequels to the first books. If you’ve never read some of the first books, I do recommend it. (Though it is not required). Here are the first books for the ones coming out this year:

TRA #1

P&P #1

PC(not really a sequel but it’ll introduce you to the characters)

Sweet Love

Now on Kobo too!

(ETA: I apologize for how these links came out. I blame all the hyperlinks.

One late note: book signings. This year, there is only Greenville, which is fine with me. It’s close to home. For next year, nothing set in stone in those yet but I have a few places I’m considering including Boston, Norfolk, and Dallas.

There’s a cover reveal at the end of this week for Black Paradise Circus #1. Be on the look out for that!

Actual updates!

I know I’ve posted mostly teasers over here (and I’m still trying to make some more). However, I think I owe everyone some actual updates as well. Let me bold some of the important stuff.

First, tickets are now on sale for SASS in October!

updateson current works:

Patterns & Parallels #2 is finished and sitting at about 51K. Will go to the editor on the 16th. It’s shorter than book one and is centered more on Olivia’s side of the story. Book #3 will be more centered on Donnie’s. Speaking of Book #3, I’m thinking about starting that as soon as I finish TRA #2 and get further on Sweet Love.

Black Paradise Circus #1 is finished and sitting at 52K. I will send it to the editor on the 23rd. Judging from what I’ve got, this book may come out before P&P#2. The reason for that is because I have the cover and secured an editor and just need a formatter now for this book. I still don’t have the cover for P&P#2 yet. I said their due dates are sometime in late June but it might be earlier.

The Reaper’s Apprentices #2 is at 43K right now and I want to go a little further on it tonight.

Sweet Love is at 24K. I got a lot done on this one over the weekend. Once I get to 30K, I will reveal the plot behind it. Yes, the erotica does have a plot but I do promise you sex as well.

Paperback is available for Four of the Usual Suspects!

To celebrate the upcoming sequel, P&P #1 is free on Amazon for the next few days. Get it to get an understand of how things started!

(ETA: Sorry about the messy links. I have no idea what happened)

Next weekend may not be a great writing weekend. I have plans then but I will do my best. Work will be hectic so I will need to escape to the writing hole in the evening.

Much love,

Updates and so forth

All right, I’ve got a few things I need to mention.

1) The tickets for Sassy in the South go on sale this Friday! If I recall correctly, there will be only 150 VIP tickets sold so get those while you can! Regular tickets, there will be a lot of. I’ll have the site where you can buy and information on that in my next update post. Also to note, that Friday I will have an author takeover on Facebook at the signing page. Again, more info coming on my next update here.

2) So I’ve more or less finished two books in a month. Wow. It’s safe to say that Patterns & Parallels #2: Paper Hearts and Portman Creameries Cases: Black Paradise Circus #1 (kind of a subdivision of the PC series) will be out sometime this summer. The Reaper’s Apprentices #2: The Contracts currently sits at 42K but that is slowly getting wrapped up too. That just leaves me one other book. Sweet Love, the first in the erotica series Flavors of Love, is sitting at 13K right now.

3) I’ll be doing a cover reveal of Black Paradise Circus #1 sometime in June. I’ve already secured an editor and will secure my formatter a little later. From the looks of it, that may come out before P&P #2. We’ll see how things go.

4) In the meantime, Four of the Usual Suspects is now available on Smashwords! All they say it’s in review, you should be able to get it if you’re fans of Smashwords.

It’s still out there on Amazon for Kindle and paperback too.

5) For the signing, I’m already planning on bringing three of the PC books, P&P 1 & 2, and if they are out, TRA #2 and Flavors of Love. Probably Ghosts of Burning Inn too. I’ll do a google doc for anyone who wants me to bring something else in the process.

6) My workload is going to pile up but I will survive! Once I finish up TRA #2 and get to a good spot on Flavors of Love, I will start Patterns & Parallels #3 and (at long last) Cirque Macabre #2. I know. It’s been a long time since that one has had an update, right?

Much love,

Since I failed to do anything during Tax Day (which is bad considering that I’m a revenue employee), I decided to make Four of the Usual Suspects free for today and tomorrow. Here’s a few of the Amazon links but it’s free at all Amazons. If you’ve read Wrapped in Death and Chocolate, this book takes place in the same universe. It is a stand alone so you can read this without reading the other. Also, this one is a novella.

Speaking of the PC universe, I’m almost done with the first book in their first big case. Now the big cases are slightly different from normal books. It’s the same universe and characters but the cases are darker and longer (so they’ll span between two-four books). This particular case will be three books (although I might try to make to two books). Also, the big cases focus on the entire group rather than one girl at a time.

Patterns & Parallels #2 is also finished. I just need to polish it up and it’ll be ready for my editor next month. After that, I’ll try to wrap up TRA #2 and Sweet Love. My erotica is coming along nicely. I’ll share more once I hit 15K. (I’m at 8K right now so yeah)

That’s about it for now.
