August update

I know I haven’t updated in a long time and I am sorry for that. I have been dealing with a lot of depression lately. This is an incredibly short update but I just want to let you know that I am alive and hanging on. I will be back with a better update later.

Slight update

I don’t have a whole ton to talk about this time around. I’m still struggling with my depression. I’m still not sure what I want out of everything. I feel like I’ve lost my spark and my love for a lot of things. I do want to complete what I have; it’s just going to take time.

I will post the link for pre-order for Beneath the Painted Ocean but break is still on.

Break time

All right, I never thought I’d get to this point in my career but I need to take a break in it. My depression is just getting worse with each day and I’m feeling worse about everything that I’m writing. I don’t want to put out something that I’m going to hate. I’ve done that before and it didn’t make me happy  nor anyone else. I don’t want to force myself to hate what I do. So I need to step down for just a little bit. Don’t worry, I still have stuff that will come out. It’s just not coming out as fast. So what does that mean?

The merman book will most likely come out August 1st.

Soulmates is still scheduled for a fall release.

Perfect Human #4 is almost done but I don’t know if I can get it out by November. I’ll try.

Everything else? I don’t know.

I’ll try to update but until I feel like I love my writing again, I need the break.

Much love,

~C

A July update

Hello and welcome to July. I’ve been away for a while but tomorrow I get to go back home. A lot has happened over the past few weeks and I’m not sure where to start. Let me go with the simple stuff.

Another signing has come and gone. SASS17 is out of the way now and now preparations for SASS18 are underway. I’m not sure if I’m going to Norfolk next year or not but I’ve put my name in the ring. I don’t know how many signings I’ll do next year. Truth be told, the next couple of months are up in the air for me. However, I won’t rule anything out.

The second thing to mention is that my merman m/m novel has been postponed because my cover designer has been met with an unexpected tragedy in the family. She just needs some time to get through that. So I’m guessing it may not be out before August. If it does come out sooner, I’ll definitely let people know. For now, let’s just assume an August date.

Third, I have some new projects. Some of you may have seen on Twitter about me talking about a Soulmates book. This is part Dystopian/part NA/part romance. This is different from anything I’ve done before. It is also incredibly longer than anything else I’ve written, a little over 100K words. First book is nearing completion and the second book has been started. It will be a short trilogy (well, not really short but you get the idea). Book one is called Broken World and Book two will be called Blank Canvases. More on that will come out a little later.

Finally, a new LGBT f/f novel will be in the works, Silk and Silence. Details on that coming soon but know that it takes place in a circus. I’ll probably start work on that when I get home.

That’s about it for now. Take care, everyone.

Hello and welcome June

All right, there are a few things to get out of here for June. The first is that you may have noticed I’m not as active on social media right now. The reason for it is that I’m going through some personal issues right now. Depression is hitting me hard and it’s tough to keep up with anything. I’ve deactivated FB for the time being but I still have my Twitter and blogs to update. I will also get June’s newsletter out too in a few days.

Secondly, the next book I will have out is called Beneath the Painted Ocean. It is an m/m in the world of mermaids/mermen. I don’t think I will have it out before SASS 17, I’m afraid. I’m due for a cover design in July and I will be gone from June 22nd to July 14th. So I’m aiming for a July 18th release date for this book. I’m still trying to wrap up Perfect Human #4 too but that’s moving slower than expected. I’m trying to slow down my own writing as a result.

Yes, I am still going to SASS 17. I probably won’t bring anything brand new and I’m not ordering new swag since I have ton of the old swag left over. After that, I truly don’t know what will happen in terms of signings. Truth be told, I’m not sure of my writing career because things have turned around.

So right now, I’m mostly focusing on:

Diamonds and Lipstick (A Crossing Paths side story)

Perfect Human: 4, 5, and 6

Chasing Roy G. Biv (brand new novel)

Somehow, someway, I will try to get my love of writing back. Right now, it feels more like writing to live and less like living to write.

And now time to get back to work!

A mid-Month update

Hello and welcome to the mid-May update. Again, not a whole lot to talk about. I’m still waiting on Crossing Paths #2 to come back to me. I know it’s taking a while (it’s still with my editor which makes me think that I’ve done a lot worse than usual) but I still plan on getting it out by June 1st. It is the continuation to Lilacs and Vanilla.

One thing I did manage was releasing Perfect Human #3: The Rose Hill Institute. It is out now. I’ve gotten through books 4 & 5 of that one and started 6 as well. I’m taking from 6 right now to catch up on other things.

Most notable is that I’m writing an m/m novel (well, two of them but one is further than the other). One is a side story from Crossing Paths (the original characters will be in it but they are more side characters this time around) and one is a merman m/m story. The latter is the one I’m further on right now. I also have some side projects as well.

Other than that, I’m slipping into depression again. It sucks and I’m struggling with each day. I won’t go into details but I hope I can heal in time.

Much love,

~C

Another update

Hello and welcome to another update from me. I’m back to my computer and slowly catching up to everything. I will make an announcement that Perfect Human #3: The Rose Hill Institute will be out tomorrow! (Or maybe tonight if things go well). Crossing Paths #2: Dancing With Daffodils should be out later this month. It’s with my editor and hopefully she’ll get that back to me by the end of the week (she was in Chicago during the weekend).

As for other works, I’ve got to wrap up PH #4, get back into P&P #4, and somewhere on the line, catch up with TRA #4. There are also three original books coming out too. When, I’m not sure. I’m trying to settle in while wrap up so much. Right now, I’ve organized the PH series and I have up to book seven plotted out. (I assume this series will be at least ten books, possible twelve if the story takes me in other directions. It won’t go beyond that though).

Also to note that my book prices may be going up a little bit. Not by too much, just a tad. I will still have sales and freebies throughout the year though! Be on a lookout for those.

That’s about it for now. More to come later,
~C

Short update

Truth be told, there isn’t much to update now. It’s pretty hard for me to write without some of my stuff here. I have to rely on my memory and there are certain things that I don’t remember all too well. I’m going back to Texas on the 29th and then I have to leave on the 3rd. Which means I have three days to clean up either Perfect Human #3 or CP #2 and send it to my editor. I’m going to have my ass kicked here. I really thought I’d have a book out by the end of this month but that won’t be happening. So here’s more or less the schedule now for 2017 books.

May 2017 – Perfect Human #3

May 2017- Crossing Paths #2

July 2017 – Perfect Human #4

Aug/Sept 2017 – Crossing Paths side novel

Sept 2017 – Patterns & Parallels #4

Nov 2017 – Heart of the Night (new standalone romance)

Also possible – TRA #4

Again, this list can change. I have really no idea what the future holds for me in terms of writing. I do still have plans for SASS 17 in Baltimore. All others are signed up but no guarantees on them yet. Truth be told, I don’t have much I can update on. I’m still writing and I’ve scheduled a cover design moment that’s it. Audiobooks are also in progress. Other than that, things are slow.

Will hopefully have a better idea of what’ll happen later. I’ll get back to regular newsletters too.

After a long time

My greatest apologies to anyone who is still following this. I am still in North Carolina and will be till probably the end of the month. As a result, writing has slowed down too. It’s very hard to write without some of my references (and my computer is in Texas right now). So my works that were going to come out in April will now come out in May. That would be Crossing Paths #2 and Perfect Human #3. Patterns & Parallels #4 has to be postponed since I don’t have any of my references for that.

However, I have started work on Perfect Human #5, Crossing Paths #3, restarted TRA #4, and a new project called Heart of the Night. More news on all of this later!

I’ll try to update more if I can.

In like a lion…

Hello and welcome to March. First off, I have to apologize for a severe lack of updates in February. The reason for it is that my husband and I were going through some personal stuff. However, a lot of it has been resolved. We are actually going to move to Texas in a few weeks. Neither of us has been there before so that will be something to look forward. It will be a challenge for both of us. With that said, I probably won’t get too much more writing done during this time. I’ll probably get a regular writing schedule back once we’ve settled in.

So here’s the schedule. I leave next week for North Carolina to do Authors In the City. While there, I will try to write but no guarantees on anything. I do have good news and that’s that I finally hit 50K on Perfect Human #4. I need to clean up #3 first. After that, I’m going to try to get to 30K on Crossing Paths #2, 30K on Patterns & Parallels #4, try to get back to my PC special, and maybe a little something new. We’ll see though.

On a plus side, Perfect Human #2 is finally out. I got it out in time! Perfect Human #1 is also available though I think you can understand things in #2 pretty well. #3 and #4 are where things get pretty intense though.

As soon as I’m settled down, I’ll get back to using my social media more often. I think I’m on Twitter the most at the moment. It’s easy to get small thoughts out. @CyberPeacock is where you can find me. I will also try to get the newsletter out before I leave!
